Aspect of Joy in a believer’s life.

Dear Jesus Generation,

Welcome to another session of learning and this time we are going to understand the "Aspect of JOY in a believer’s life“

Joy is basically an emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires (Webster Dictionary).

Now let us look at what the Bible says or the Spiritual meaning, of what JOY truly is ???

1). Joy is a Fruit of the Spirit.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23)

2). Joy is a choice.

Rick Warren gave us this definition that “Joy is the settled assurance that God is in control of all the details of my life, the quiet confidence that ultimately everything is going to be alright and the determined choice to praise God in every situation”.

3). JOY is a state of mind and an expression of the heart.

The word ‘JOY’ appears nearly 200 times in the Bible, which helps us understand just how important this second sweet fruit of the Spirit really is.

This tells me very clearly that God sincerely desires each one of us to be JOYFUL always and hence He sent His Angel to tell the whole of mankind (what is written in Luke 2:10) -“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people - The Birth of JESUS, the Good News".

We will explore more on this subject in the coming days, but be rest assured that God wants you to be JOYFUL always in His son - JESUS.
