Dear Jesus Generation,
Welcome to the “GIVING Month”.
The Bible clearly says, God is more interested in our Heart than anything else in this World.
Jeremiah 17:10 says
I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.
Proverbs 21:2 says
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.
It’s all about HEART (intentions, motives, perception, inner most feelings) to God, ever since Adam was created.
Similarly, when we GIVE to God, our Heart should be right. Take sometime to think and ponder on these questions.
1) Why am I GIVING to God ?
2). What is my intention and motive in GIVING this ??
3). Am I Giving to please myself or my church or my pastor or my family or my friends or to PLEASE GOD ???
4). Am I GIVING this to get something from God in return ????
5). Am I GIVING as a religious practise or just as a norm (taught by my parents or in my church) ?????
Our GIVING should always PLEASE GOD. Period. This is what God wants and desires from each of us, to GIVE with all our HEART and not out of obligation or under compulsion.
2 Corinthians 9:8 says
Each of you should GIVE what you have decided in your HEART to GIVE, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God LOVES a CHEERFUL GIVER.
Allow, The Holy Spirit God speak to you more deeply in this regard.
